Simon was appointed to the Board as Chief Financial Officer in May 2018 and as Chief Executive in
November 2020.
Simon has extensive experience of finance and the real estate sector. He joined British Land from
Logicor, the owner and operator of European logistics real estate, where he had served as Chief
Financial Officer since January 2017. Prior to joining Logicor, from 2015 to 2017 Simon was Finance
Director at Quintain Estates & Development Plc. Simon previously spent over 10 years with British
Land, working in a variety of financial and strategic roles and was a member of our Executive
Committee from 2012 until his departure in January 2015. Simon also previously worked for UBS in
fixed income and qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen. In May 2022, Simon was
appointed to the Board of Real Estate Balance, a campaigning organisation working to improve
diversity and inclusion in the real estate industry. In July 2024, Simon was appointed Vice President
of the British Property Federation.
